As we approach the end of the year and reflect on the past twelve months, there’s no doubt that it has been challenging in many ways. Thankfully we have been fortunate, and like many other companies have been able to use this time to adapt and ensure that we continue to offer an outstanding quality of service to our customers.

With 2021 just around the corner, we look back at some of the key moments of 2020, for Woodstock IT itself and the industry as a whole. Next year we look forward to continuing to offer managed services as well as IT support and solutions.

We launched new company branding

Since we first opened our doors to customers all the way back in 2007, we’ve observed and experienced significant changes in the industry, and subsequently to the services we offer – changes that we wanted to reflect in our branding.

Fast forward to November 2020, which was a particularly exciting and extraordinarily busy month for us as we simultaneously launched our new website, complete with our new ‘Infinite Loop’ branding and minty-fresh look.

The focus for our new website design was to make our site as enjoyable and easy to navigate as possible, making it simpler than ever before for customers to find and access the services they need.

The ‘Infinite Loop’ design featured in our new branding is symbolic of the infinite possibilities in this ‘always on’ world, and of the continuous need for innovation and transparent communication with our customers.

Oh, and did you notice that we’ve got a new tagline? We’re ‘Making IT simple’. Ok, if we’re totally honest we’ve been doing this for more than 10 years, but now it’s in our messaging!

Our new Guildford office opened

We were also very excited to have opened a new office in the bustling town of Guildford, Surrey, our first office outside of Sussex, from which we offer all of the Woodstock IT services. The office opened on 6th November 2020 and continues to accept new customers.

We helped clients who switched to remote working

In 2020 how many people worked changed. Covid-19 kickstarted a monumental shift, a migration of office based workers who would go on to work remotely on a temporary basis – and more permanently.

We’ve since successfully helped many clients, both employers and employees, from all manners of industry make the switch to remote working. Our cyber security offering improved

With all the changes to the ways in which we are now using IT, particularly at home for business purposes, we also felt that it was an appropriate time to evaluate and improve upon our cyber security offerings.

We will be continuing our long time partnership with ESET, but have also launched two new and highly effective solutions :

  • Dark Web ID – a proactive dark web monitoring service
  • Bullphish ID – provides simulated phishing attacks and training to reduce human error
